Cleaning the Block

I have now completely stripped the block ready to take for machining, so thought it would be an idea to start cleaning out the rust from the waterways. Well I think this is going to take a bit more ingenuity than I had originally thought, here is what I was able to get out just shaking the block about a bit. Yes it is heavy.

That is not a small screwdriver, that is big bits of rust from inside the cylinder jacket!

Some new parts arrived today as well, a new timing chain, replacement nuts, washers and studs for the head and manifold. Also some new steering box bearings, so I can set about rebuilding the steering box too.
